No doubt Afro Samurai is a smashing series which needs no more words to be added to its account, but what has probably earned it the most attention is the involvement of Samuel L. Jackson, who is a starring as the main voice actor. Blood is fair element of the game and beautifully showed in this hip hop textured action adventure where you are seeing Samuel L. Jackson reviving his role as Afro and Ninja Ninja superbly.
Afro Samurai is where the players are staring as the titular samurai and seeking retribution through bloodcurdling and gory swordplay. While playing as Afro Samurai they get into fights to gain the title of number one warrior; this status is presently being held by Justice who assassinated Afro’s father when he was a young boy. The inspiration is taken from the original series with some more stuff added to it and background much vivid now.
A sensational art style is rendering Afro Samurai quite unique look and tone across fascinating animated open places where he is waging war against his enemies. As the players use their innovative gameplay system they see the affect of the musical score (by RZA of Wu-Tand Clan fame) on the bodies and faces of enemy AI. These dynamic battles give style to the encounters during the whole play changing the overall tone of swordplay. Afro is slicing and dismembering his adversaries with his acrobatic feats like leaping from one place to another swiftly; he is also taking help from his environment through interacting with things around him to help him on his course.
There are two main characters (as I told above) – Afro Samurai and Ninja Ninja. Afro Samurai is a main character who is the hero of the game having extra long blade. He lives and strives only to take revenge and kill the man who killed his father in a duel play. Whereas, Ninja Ninja is a wandering miscreant wheeling around Afro having no real intention but to hand with Afro and give him a rough sledding during varying situations.
The developer of the game – Namco Banda – announced for its new cutting edge studio, Action video game to release in all the major markets ( U.S. , U.K., Australia, Japan,) before mid this year, 2009. It will arrive on different dates.
